1. WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR
ACH Workshop (Mpumalanga) | Closing date 24th Sept 2025 | External/Internal | Fixed Term

Qualifications Required
Education: Minimum Grade 12 and relevant boilermaking qualification
Certifications: Boilermaking Trade Certificate

Experience and Skills Requirements
• At least 2 years’ experience in supervising a workshop team.

• At least 3 years of experience as a qualified boilermaker.

• Strong Supervision and Organisational Skills combined with the ability to manage conflict

• Good understanding, technical drawing knowledge and experience with regards to the Construction Industry and relevant Standards and Specifications (AWS D1.1, etc)

• Good knowledge and understanding of Legislative Acts (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, OHS Act, etc.)

• Understanding of Financial Implications related to Fabrication Jobs

• Strong Leadership Skills (Plan, Direct, Implement, Control, Review)

• Ability to negotiate, facilitate and influence interactions with Employees, Managers and other Stakeholders

• Ability to communicate clearly in Written or Verbal Communication

Duties and Responsibilities
• Supervise Workshop

• Manage Scope, Time, Costs, Resources and Risks

• Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Compliance and Improvement according to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 3834-2

• Workshop transportation and Key Control

• Management of tools and PPE damages and communication in regards to repairs/replacements

• Signing off of JSA’s

• Weekly hand-in of JSA’s and Vehicle Pre-use Checklists

• Daily Planning

• Receiving material from suppliers

• Communication and reporting to the Manager
